@Donna Are they passing on the left or right, in your lane? On the right in a cycling lane? \\ Is passing them multiple times a safety issue? Or an annoyance? \\ Just curious. I'm often a driver, and sometimes a cyclist, and wish that drivers and cyclists would play nicely together and stop taking risks with everyone's safety. \\ After all, that's what these new laws are all about, not about either group's (in)convenience.

I want to know why cyclists don't have to give cars a 3 foot birth while passing. That way, they'd have to stay behind traffic at lights and I wouldn't have to pass the same one 20 times as I drive around town.

I'm a member of Sobi - I guess I should be contacting them to find out if they are going to update the bike lights in accordance with this. They have lights on the front baskets, but little ones.

@William Glad to see that you took the quiz. But were you a bit distracted when you did? \\ To know if the cyclist was riding hands-free, you'd have to see the handlebars (which the Spec cropped out of the photo), as @Nicholas pointed out. \\ Everyone who rides or drives should take this quiz, to brush up on the new rules. After all, we're all responsible for one another when we're using our streets and roads. We can't leave the responsibility to "the other guy."

William, you are imagining things. The photo doesn't even show the handlebars of the bike! The full photo, in the Star, shows that the cyclists is clearly holding the handlebars: http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2015/08/31/drivers-cyclists-take-note-ontarios-new-rules-of-the-road-could-cost-you.html
