OCAA Women's Volleyball: St. Clair Saints blank Sheridan

The Saint Clair Saints women's volleyball pulled off a upset Sunday afternoon, defeating the Sheridan Bruins 3-0 at the SportsPlex.

St. Clair played a solid match, with set scores of 25-11, 26-24, and 25-17.

Helen Wiebe led the way for St Clair with 8 kills, 3 stuff blocks, 2 aces and 16 digs. Shalena Horst also had a strong match with 6 kills, 3 stuff blocks, 2 aces and 15 digs.

With the win the Saints improved to 8-4 on the season while Sheridan fell to 11-4. St. Clair is currently ranked 7th in Ontario while Sheridan is ranked 3rd in Ontario. St. Clair currently sits in 4th place in the OCAA west division; however the Saints have games in hand on most of the division.

The Saints are next in action on Saturday, January 31 when they host the top ranked Humber Hawks at 1 pm at the Sportsplex.
