Windsor Police are investigating after a dog was found in a Walker Road field bound with electrical tape Thursday afternoon.

At approximately 1 pm December 17 police were dispatched to the field where a man, who was walking his two dogs, discovered the dog laying in the field. The animal's snout, front legs, and rear legs were bound with electrical tape.

The Windsor Essex Humane Society were notified of the incident and attended the scene. The dog was transported to a Veterinary Hospital for treatment. The dog was suffering from an infected mouth and had severe swelling to his snout and feet. It is estimated that the dog could have been in the field up to 12 hours prior to being discovered.

The dog has been transfered to the care of the Windsor Essex Humane Society.
