NDP candidate Noah Richler has lightened up the election campaign with an ad that mocks one of Liberal leader Justin Trudeau riding an escalator.

Richler, who’s trying to overtake Liberal incumbent Carolyn Bennett in Toronto-St. Paul’s, has posted the video on YouTube.

In his video, the author rides alongside the Liberal leader and chucks a handful of election pamphlets at him in frustration.

“Here’s the truth of it,” Richler announces. “Justin’s plans are to spend money the party doesn’t have and doesn’t have to account for.”
