The Mounties are holding a 3 p.m. news conference Tuesday about a new terrorism-related arrest.
The RCMP said in a news release that they will “provide details into an arrest made and charges laid following a national security criminal investigation co-ordinated by the RCMP-led Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET) in Ottawa.”
The news conference comes just weeks after three other men were arrested in an Ottawa terrorism sweep.
Brothers Carlos and Ashton Larmond, 24, and Suliman Mohamed, 21, were charged with a number of terrorism-related offences, including participating in the activities of a terror group. All three were among the roughly 90 names on the RCMP's national security watch list.
Authorities have been paying even greater attention to those on the watch list since last fall's deadly attacks on Parliament Hill and on a soldier in a parking lot outside of Montreal.
