No arrests after alleged sex act on downtown Toronto streetcar

The TTC said a couple was reportedly engaged in “some sort of sexual activity” on the King streetcar on Thursday evening

Riding the rocket had a whole new meaning Thursday evening.

A customer alerted a streetcar driver to a couple allegedly “getting to know one another” on the westbound 504 King streetcar at around 5:30 p.m., according to Brad Ross, TTC spokesman.

The couple were accused of being “engaged in some sort of sexual activity, I don’t know to what degree,” Ross said.

The rush-hour incident was reported near Yonge and King Sts., but Toronto Police officers didn’t arrive until the streetcar halted at University Ave. and King St.

Ross said the couple fled from the streetcar before police officers got there. There were no arrests.
Police wouldn’t confirm reports that there were actually three people involved in the sexual activity, or whether they were intoxicated.

The incident caused a 15-minute delay on the streetcar route, according to the TTC.

Arch - I wouldn't think kissing it a disturbance. Its not like she was performing oral sex or anything.

Any disturbance requires the driver to respond. Maybe these people were from a country which doesn't frown upon folks copulating on public transit. there probably are people from countries like that....or from a ZOO!

Who calls the police for a couple of people kissing? Whatever. My question is, what the heck was the driver doing for the 15 min delay? Watching?

Slow news day, huh? Two people (perhaps three - gasp!) kissing amorously and then they left and then nothing more happened. Yup, sounds like it deserves Spectator space.
