Windsor Police responded to a call about an unusual break-in suspect trapped in an office bathroom on Howard Ave Thursday morning.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., police received a call regarding a deer who had smashed through a plate glass window into a doctor's office.
Once in the office, the deer ran into a bathroom, where it was barricaded by office staff until police arrived.
The Humane Society were also notified and arrived at the scene.
Officers devised a plan to free the deer and release it back into the adjoining wooded area. Traffic on Howard Ave was shut down as a precaution in case the deer ran out into traffic.
Inside the office, the deer ran out the bathroom and through an open rear door after officers forced the bathroom door open. The deer then ran out into the bush area.
The deer appeared to have sustained a small laceration near its nose, presumably from smashing through the front office window. No other injuries were reported.
