Man charged with sex offences released on bail; police issue safety alert

Police have issued a public safety alert after a man charged with six sex offences was released on bail.

Police allege a man sexually assaulted a young girl numerous times between May 17, 2008 and Jan. 11, 2014.

Wayne Delroy Henry, 32, of Toronto was arrested Jan. 17. He was charged with two counts each of sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching and sexual interference.

Police said Henry has worked as an early childhood educator at various day cares and youth centres in the GTA and has volunteered at churches as a youth worker. He was also a soccer coach.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 416-808-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
