Corvette Sinkhole: Amazing footage from security camera

OurWindsor.Ca

Remember the sinkhole that opened up out of nowhere in the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky on Tuesday, swallowing eight timeless classics like they were toys? There’s security footage of the monster in action now (below), and it’s pretty amazing.

The 30-foot-wide sinkhole opened in the early morning hours Wednesday when the museum was closed to the public, so no injuries or casualties were reported. At least not human ones. CarBuzz reports that hole consumed a 1993 ZR-1 Spyder, a ’09 ZR1 “Blue Devil,  a ’62 Black Corvette, a ’84 PPG Pace Car, a ’92 White 1 Millionth Corvette, a ’93 Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Corvette, a ’01 Mallett Hammer Z06 Corvette and a ’09 White 1.5 Millionth Corvette.

Museum employees swiftly evacuated the remaining cars to safety.
