A Markham high school caretaker faces several sex-related charges after police say a man shared texts of a sexual nature with students.
Staff members at Pierre Elliott Trudeau High School in Unionville told York Regional Police about the “ongoing communications” they found out about Nov. 29.
Four female students and an adult took part in texting that “began as casual conversation but became sexual in nature,” police said.
Mathew Zeck, 42, of Whitchurch-Stouffville was charged today with sexual exploitation, luring a child, making sexually explicit material available to a child and sexual assault.
He appeared in court today and was released on conditions. His next court date is Jan. 31.
Investigators think there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
